PARABLES

Webster's Dictionary defines a parable as "a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels".  A parable is a story that is told to teach a truth or point or valuable lesson.  Sometimes people can "get the point" better when they are told a story to which they can relate.  Jesus told more than 30 parables in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Here we use some of the parables from the Bible, but also other parables or stories that were not in the Bible but still have a spiritual point or lesson that we can learn from.
